2 september, 2001 - hmm, not too much to update. ddwt's sister group, ddpromo, has made me communications agent. what exactly is that? not too sure. whenever someone on the list asks me to do something, i do. and i make suggestions, so i don't really know what i'm in charge of, lol. but now i'm legal. yay! so now i can do everything but drink...who cares about smoking? and the only time i did go to buy cigarettes they didn't even card me! i've totally forgotten about the rest of what i was gonna write about. oh well. and btw, dd.com still sucks.

- well, i'm gonna start writing a tour
journal,
except i dunno what to write now! i've been trying to make early
preparations
for the trip to england. i guess that's where they'll go first in
europe.
i'm hoping they play here and then in europe. i'll be pissed if it's
the
other way around.

i should
suggest my irc chat as a way for us to meet up weekly (maybe to discuss
plans or take votes on stuff, or to just chat). well, if anyone reading
this cares to check it out, go here.
i'm gonna try to save up money starting as soon as possible so i'll
have
as much as i can for the trip. the plane ticket alone will cost me
almost
$1700 i think, and that kind of money doesn't grow on trees. it would
take
me about six months to save up that much! that's not even including
concert
tickets, expenses, souvenirs...ugh! does anyone wanna help me? i'm a
poor
kid...and damnit i'm not even legal yet! *cries*
anyway,
i
have to go on this trip, somehow. i like this band too damn much
(especially
the fab five incarnation) not to do this. whether they stay like this
way
for one album and tour or for years and years, this tour is
revolutionary.
but i don't have to tell you that.
i'll
be getting
some extra scholarship money at the end of the year for the next four
years,
and since my tuition is all covered, i can always dip into that to use,
since the extra will all come back to me anyway.
i
noticed
on duran duran's site, the picture up top has been changed to just
simon's
eyes. i suppose better that than a picture of the three of them. i hope
to god that they change some stuff, cuz it needs some major revamping.
the timeline hasn't been updated since the release of pop trash, the
polls
ask how hollywood records is doing and what should be the next single,
the discography should be changed to add the power station stuff (if
arcadia
is listed then so should the power station), and the gallery needs to
at
least get rid of the pictures of warren, wes, and joe, if nothing else.
i know this is easier said than done, but some of these things really
don't
take that much time to do. the picture part is at least just a matter
of
hitting delete. if the polls are outdated, just take them off! but
enough
ranting about their site.
i
suppose
this is all i have to talk about tour-wise for now. look here for more
