nigel john taylor was born to jean and jack taylor on 20 june, 1960 in sorrento maternity hospital.
as a kid, john's main hobby was painting toy soldiers. painting these is very tedious and complicated work and he was very enthusiastic about it. his parents would take him to exhibitions throughout the country, then he suddenly lost interest in it, and never brought it up again.
at the age of 14, john went out and bought an acoustic guitar and a manual and began teaching himself how to play. after one of his exams, john came home and announced he was leaving school to become a musician. before this, he had expressed an interest in music, but never a desire to do it as a living. he and his parents discussed it and they said they would support him for a year, and if his career didn't take off, he'd have to go back to school.
john has always had a passion for cars, and for a while he wanted to own one car for every day of the week. he owned a porsche, delorean, aston martin db6 mk II, and bought his parents a bmw.
john had dated television reporter amanda de cadenet for a while until she got pregnant. the two married and atlanta was born in march of 1992. they divorced in 1997. john married gela nash in 1999, who works for juicy jeans.
